If you would like to raise a baby tortoise but do not have the space or time to care for an adult this is for you. I have been working with Cherry Heads and Redfoot for a few years now and have started to produce some awesome hatchlings. A few of witch I would like to hold back for myself, but thought I would give other people a chance to raise them.

Ones that I would like to hold back are either exceptionally pretty or heterozygous for hypo. If you would like to raise one of these I would be looking for people who is capable of raising them properly. Most likely I would want the Tortoises returned after they reached the 8 inch mark probably around three or four years. I would cover all shipping costs for the Tortoises there and back. All you would be responsible for is giving the tortoises a nice home until they become young adults.

I have attached some photos of ones which are around two years old, and were just returned to me from a few friends who raised them up. Some of these were raised better than others but these photos help to show the size you would be returning them at. If you’re interested in participating in this program, please respond to this post and I’ll send you a personal message. The Tortoises would be fully ready to ship out in around two months.

This is right up @maggie3fan 's alley. She's real good at raising, or what I called head starting the babies, but has no space for an adult tortoise.

Yep I sold her cheep to a friend of mine I knew would take good care of her
Unfortunately I'd say that MOST new tortoise keepers do not have any real plans on how to keep their baby tortoise into adulthood.
Even something smaller like a RF needs to be housed outside with hundreds of square feet of space.
It's probably the number 1 worst impulse pet purchase.
It's very sad.

Yeah one of the main reasons I am offering this is so that someone can enjoy one of these without the looming feeling of having to deal with an adult
