Kerry came over and we spent the w/e trying to get Matilda moved out. I wanted to move the enclosure I built last year for her but it lacked two sides since it had been installed at an inside corner of the house. The weather here for the weekend was supposed to be one of the following;

low 70's
Rain Sat morning, clearing in early afternoon
Rain beginning after 3pm Sat
Slight drizzle Sat followed by sunny skies

They lied...65-70 & rain

I got my power washing done Friday so while sore, I was antsy to get going Sat morning. It rained on and off all day made work yucky and frustrating. It was tough to work in. WE fabbed the new pool with a rubber liner from an old raincoat and Matilda came out, inspected her new home and promptly made for the apparently gaps in the 2 layers of 12" tall decorative fencing that I staggered to use as the East wall....the pool leaked so yesterday, I put her back inside and I got to get out the wire mesh, wheelbarrow and an 80lb bag and build the pool. This afternoon I need to fill and refill it to clean off the chems....then add back her landscaping before she can come back out. The best laid plans....

We did take some time yesterday to go to Downs park......saw this big guy resting....tried to get some other pics but this weird girl kept photobombing me!

Well, all WAS good yesterday .....I filled the pool and the pool leaked down a couple inches, then a few more......then a few more, rubber liner will show up today.....enough is enough.....LOL

I took Matilda back out last night, I didn't want her to fall upside-down into the near-empty pool so she is inside this morning.

When I had put her into the new home earlier...she ate as soon as I put her in....she saw canned crickets and grasshoppers for the first time in her life and she dove in, then she ate some worms. It was good to see her eat so aggressively. Tomorrow, lopes

At 90F and that lung thing I've got going on.....I didn't do the final landscaping, maybe today when I get home from work.

Yes Gerry, I got it!.....course I tease her about the wild hair look!

Yes, I'm very much in love with..............Hagrid

LOL

Poor Matilda....Mr. Bezo's didn't bring her pond liner till late and by then I was tired from straightening the garage because I have someone coming to pick up a bike today. She spent the night inside again and she's wondering what's going on...her fittings are gone, her water dish gone(as her new food dish outside) but she's being a trooper.

She found the piece of steak I put in last night after she went to bed and is snacking now.

Yeah, I let that girl hang out with me.....cause she is pretty cool, for a girl...........(LOL)

(and I'm lucky as heck!)

I did snapped a "thru the dirty glass" pic just before I left of Matilda on her second piece of meat after a couple of worms.....

She looked up me saying "You ARE getting my home done today when it gets bright out, right? Look at this place, it's a moonscape"

She can complain........but I know that she's warm, safe and fed.....kinda like the kids were....and they complained too! LOL

Mostly done, though her "pond" looks more like a piece of plastic trash bag filled with water, with a solar pump......LOL

She's out there and turtling.....I think she's getting ready to dig in for the night.....a shame b/c I wanted to see her go to drink and soak to check her ease in and out.....

I put her in the enclosure and tossed a worm down and she never missed a beat....she ripped into it without even looking around......I think she's pretty comfortable in her surroundings. She has her fitting-hides, some propped up logs and a pile of leaves in one end....

pics in a couple days.....in truth, it looks like hell right now....but you guys already knew that...we've all been here before!
