Due to unfortunate circumstances, I received this 1.4 group, 4 different bloodlines to add to my likely 0.2 I already have.

Can't say I'm happy to have them under these circumstances, but I'm glad I'm able to care for them. They have been kept out of water for a while due to the health of the owner, but seen to be ok. Will be going into quarantine for a while, then large setups.

The darker one is most interesting, she was an import from Oscar shiu. Not sure if CB or just a nice ltc.

Hopefully the quarantine goes well, would love to see what kind of setups you plan to put them in, a very beautiful and interesting species. I have spengleri, and have been reading more and more about Cuora with great interest recently.

this must be CB even they were imported from China. first for CITE2, only CB can be exported out of china. 2 pani pretty much extinct in the wild. 3. there are a lot breeders in china produce enough new pani for the market every year. even though they were imported, but im pretty sure they are captive breed and will be very strong. Enjoy the your group.

Only one was imported, and I don't know when. The export was Oscar ... Which means we can't predict anything.

More awake now, sorry.

I know 100% 1.3.2 of mine are CB, only the 0.1 that oscar Shiu provided is possibly not CB. Never know with Oscar, he sold many things as "WC" that were not. Many of his cyclornata turned out to be f1/f2 hybrids. Many of his "new species" were farm raised hybrids as well.

That 0.1 is also quite different, in shell coloration and "texture" than the others. She came with a male that passed before I got her.

Also, having imported from Hong Kong myself in the late 90s, I know back then getting CITES export permits then and there. was trivial, for almost anything.

I originally housed him with 2 similar sized females in a 125gallon tank, at the request of the person who they came from, as he had raised them together. I had to pull him yesterday .. he is acting mature, and mounting everything. Hopefully with a little more growth, he will be ready to go next year with the mature females.

very beautiful. they got nick name "beautiful turtles". the black stripe on the plastron looks similar to Mandarin word "beauty". the more like that world the higher they can be sell ( weird lol). for the enclosure, i went to a breeding facility many years ago. they set them up pure aquatic and some of them even brumate outside during winter.

I think we are local to each other, I am in Chatham county, just south west of Cary. If you ever want to grab a drink and talk Cuora, let me know. I have a lot of Cuora here, probably done adding more for the time being (unless a mccordi male pops up)

I have them setup in various ways. The male is alone in a waterland tub, my hatchlings are in cement mixing trays, the two adult females are in a heavily planted aquarium with the sides/back blacked out and front tinted. The juvenile females are setup the same way, 125galon half full, black out film and tint, with a land area.

A lot of people claim they wont bask to use the land area, but I provided a land area for all 7, and all seven will bask daily. Some are more confident and will bask in front of people, other ones I only know they bask because I have cameras.

I will, I've had a crazy crazy turtle year. I stumbled into some great finds, scored two impossible to get males (pani and dna tested pure cyclornata), and just stumbled into something else equally crazy.
