I don't know what you use to clean your shower. But if you rinse it really well, their shouldn't really be anything that would be harmful, unless of course you have one of those really cheap plastic tub/showers or a badly pitted one. Most people wouldn't give their babies baths in the sink or tub if chemicals could linger on and be harmful. I use my bathroom sink now. Rinse well then soak the tort:D

Besides the cleaning chemicals the soap and shampoo you use can be good for them. Cute idea, but bad idea. In my opinion.

What harm can a tortoise sitting in running water be. There is no soap or shampoo anywhere. My husband finished his shower bathing 10 min before we put her in. What is the difference in the bowl I soak her in, it gets washed in soap! Its not like she is licking the tub. Plus if you notice she is on my husbands foot. :)

Joe is soaked in the human bath because he can climb out of the washing up bowl. I simply give it a thorough rinse before (and after!) use.

It looks like your tort is lovin it! The only reason I wouldn't do it is because Joe can give you a nasty crack on the ankle bone when he butts :D

Sorry if that came across rude, after reading it again I think it sounded rude. I truly to value all difference of opinions.

I agree. As long as there's no soap or shampoo I don't see a problem with it either.
