He's looking past the gate. Greg, I wonder, if he really wants to get past the gate, could he?

Hey Greg!

I am re-doing my Aldabra habitat & had a few questions about yours if you don't mind.
1. What level/grade fencing is that?
2. How wide are the spaces between the posts?
3. What size is the wood you line the inside of the chain link with & how do you anchor it?

Thanx!

1. What level/grade fencing is that?

* Industrial grade, as thick as they made!

2. How wide are the spaces between the posts?

* Six foot on center for all line poles!

3. What size is the wood you line the inside of the chain link with & how do you anchor it?

* The actual boards are 2x10x10'S and they are anchored by 4x4x8's buried at least four feet in the ground. They are also supported by boards to the chain link line poles. Each chain link line pole is also buried at least four feet and poured full with heavy concrete. There is a two foot gap between the interior and exterior fencing, however that is a great space to plant cactus!

Note: My next adventure will be a CBS constructed exterior wall and the same interior wooded wall. I have over $25,000 just in the chain link fencing and over $10,000 in the interior wood cost alone. Now, that cost is nothing when it comes to peace of mind regarding security and containment for our breeding colony.

This little guy is getting his last soaking before he leaves for sunny California, his new home. We called this little guy Low-T, because he was from the same clutch as our hold back called Turbo. He was hatched on June 4th! He is never hard to locate, he seems to prefer one specific bush to hide under every night. As depicted in this last picture just taken tonight for the new keeper, he really relishes his warm soakings.

How small he looks in the grassy field. Buy, he won't stay that small for long. How fortunate this little fella is to go to so cal! I can only dream of getting one some day.
