  • I have a female Sulcata who cannot use her back legs. I took her in for x-rays and a CT Scan. The Vet forwarded her images to a zoologist. She had surgery one week ago to remove the bladder stone and ovaries/eggs. However, she still cannot use her back legs. The vet said he found no muscular, skeletal or neurological issues with her. Has anyone had this issue?

It's probably nerve damage from the stone pressing on the nerve. You can try water therapy: Clean and rinse your human bath tub well, then add enough warm water so the tortoise can't touch the bottom. Place her in there to "swim" for about 15 minutes a day. This is easy on the muscles, but great exercise. Please post this in the regular forum so other members can benefit from your experience.
