To build a house in Stilbaai

Torts doing good! Zvezda is getting heavier, and Sunny is growing quick! I haven't heard anything else about them migrating. It is weird, like @Maro2Bear pointed out, hundreds, is a lot, so it does almost seem exagerated? But what confuses me is that the foreman is a straight to the point, no...

No, I don't think I did🤣🤣🤣 I didn't plan on going to Amsterdam anyway, but if I do fly, I'll just book a ticket instead of freezing to death🤣🤣🤣

    Adult leopard enclosure

My enclosure for Zvezda is this currently Its 12m² or about 130ft², how could I upgrade it? (I should add, a plastic mesh covers the cage from would be predators, the corner is open on the right, it's open in the photo because that's where I place her in, there is a piece tape that I use to tie...

To build a house in Stilbaai

I think those are "captive" but I doubt that the farmer messes with them. We call them death chickens. One kick can break most of your ribs, they can run up to 70 km/h, and they peck. But these do look like the wild ones, so it is an intresting question!

Beautiful, I suspect they are either zombensis or natalensis, if you have Facebook, you can post images of them on "Hingeback Tortoise Group" if you want too, they love to see hingebacks in the wild, one of the admins @2turtletom is on here, I think he'll love to see the images too.

To build a house in Stilbaai

I forgot to post that, in the beginning we burried a JoJo tank. So the pipe behind the house is for the toilet/graywater, it flows along a certain gradient beneath the ground and reaches the tank, from outside the tank a small pipe flows, the area around it (cylindrically) has small stones and...

    Mass angulate migration

I'll try to get some more images, I haven't been by the shed in a while. (In the 2 weeks I've been in Stilbaai, I've seen 1 tort, so the hundreds the foreman is claiming does seem a lot, especially as torts don't normally migrate or move in groups) I'll investigate @Maro2Bear , he did say they...

    Mass angulate migration

Hundreds of them. Legally, fynbos is protected, meaning no more tham 1/10 of your land may be deforested (more, and then wild life protection will need to be contacted or heavy fines will be enacted). What's weird is that they are migrating through fields, miles away from where everyone is...

    Mass angulate migration

I thought it may be because if La Niña, I think it's the first year, so it may be that? In the Western Cape they have Winter rain, so it can't be that, could it?

    Mass angulate migration

In the Hessequa, (Stilbaai/Albertinia region), a mass migration of angulates is happening. Creeps and caravans are migrating en masse, hundreds of them. They are migrating from an Eastern to Western region. Everything has remained stable. Weather is constant, no fires, what could cause this?

Well I couldn't find any hen and chicken plants near me (which is weird because they are native here) But I got some silk plants, and Sunny is happy, so it turned out great!

Does anyone have silver dollars? These buggers are ferocious plant eaters, they apparently don't eat duckweed (but they did anyway). I'd like to breed them and get some plants for them that they won't eat, any advice? Tank set up Temp: 26C Inhabitants: 5 (small) silver dollars 3 large silver...
