The vet said she's not sure what caused it but usually it's from hitting something. She said it's nothing to worry about its not all the way through and it will grow back over. She gave me some nolvasan solution to put on it for infection.
I noticed this what I thought was a piece of substrate stuck on the inside of his shell so I pulled it off and it seems to have been part of his shell. There's a little groove there now and it's kind of pink at the back. I take him to the vet tomorrow to get checked. But was just wondering it...
That's his color he is really brown. Took him for his first check up at the vets today and she said he looks very good and thought his shell was beautiful. He is a male she said she was pretty sure because his tale is short and said females were a lot longer. He weighs 13 ounces.
I have a fake plant in the corner but he doesn't seem to mind the light he eats every day. Last night he decided to be very ambitious and knock over the plant in his enclosure and climb on top of his fake log where he hides.
I need to find out how old mine is for sure. My friend who got it for us thought he was 2 years old but now I'm starting to wonder. He still likes to go hide all the time. The only time he comes out is to eat or when I call him out.
