    Looking to Rehome two toroises

If you ask for a fee, your thread will be deleted as you have not met the rules to sell on this forum As far as I know, there is no paper work needed on these two species. I may be wrong, but I don't think so. Be sure they are not housed together now or if anyone takes both. Species should...

    Outdoor enclosure

Unless you want to run electric, then I would use the one that already has it. Actually the shed would make a better area for nights and any cold days where he doesn't really want to come out. That would give enough room for him to stay in if he wanted and you to give him food and water in...

    Outdoor enclosure

Do both areas have easy access to electric? Heating will be required if it gets cold where you are and you may want to set up security cameras. Both areas seem great to me. Except the dogs. There is no tortoise safe dog. If they love him then that means they are too intrigued by him and will...

    Longterm Housing Arrangements for Breeding

Never one female, two will work as it spreads the aggression, mating, between the two. More is always better.

Somebody plz help I found this little guy. Is he an alligator snapper or a common snapper????

I'm not sure of the kind. But likely a bird dropped it in your driveway if there is no water anywhere close.

    Concern

Yes it's safe! She has many years experience and wouldn't tell you to use it if not safe. Tortoises have to bask in 95-100 temps to properly digest it's food. Babies should be housed inside a closed chamber enclosure with proper temps and humidity.

    Longterm Housing Arrangements for Breeding

Instead of trying to house them all together and having the males fight, which they will. Make two sections totally separate and put one male with two females. Sight barriers should still be used, so the females can get away from the male.

    Blueberries

Best answer is no. Do not feed any fruit. They aren't wanting it, don't know they are missing it, they shouldn't have it, so don't feed it.

    Concern

Post pictures of the tortoise and the enclosure. Give us a lost of the exact type of lighting and bulbs you are using, pictures would work good of them too. What is the humidity? Temps? Basking temp, all over temp, night temp? Substrate used? List symptoms and what you are doing to try and help

Should I foster a sulcata to help an acquaintance and if so help with least worst options

Absolutely and we, on the forum, would hope you wouldn't either. If they can't do it now, then they need to give it up and when or if they ever can do it right, that's when they can get another one. If you wanted to help out in a situation where the person wants it back, then there should be...

White stone substance stuck in tortoise

That diet needs a lot of improving. Kale and spinach should be fed only very sparingly. Romaine is good to help in hydration and can be fed, but sparingly and only a long with a good diet. The diet is very poor. If you can't add natural foods, which you should be able to now that it's warmer...

    New Burmese Star Tortoise Owner

First, welcome. The enclosure may look air tight but I doubt it is. A whole lot of caulking, and specific building would have to be done to make it actually air tight. I personally don't like tall sided boxes/tubs/totes when bring tortoises outside. They can get too hot with the air flow...

    All Tortoises Are Turtles

Wow, I never would have called a slug a snail. I love escargot/snails, would not eat them if I thought they were slugs. I know they are very familiar but for some reason a slug is much for gross and messy to me.

White stone substance stuck in tortoise

Glad it passed. Now we need to find the reason. Soak daily for 30 minutes in warm water. Raise the humidity in its enclosure to 80% and feed it some romaine for a few days a week along with it's regular food. Btw, what is its normal diet? If it was urates, you want them to be smooth like...

    All Tortoises Are Turtles
