Bummer. Why is it that all the stuff that grows so well in my yard is uneatable for the boys?

I have a snow ball bush growing in the corner of my yard. Does anyone know if it's eatable? Can't find it listed anywhere.

Looking through legume picts on TTT I think it's either Alfalfa (do not feed) or Black Medic (feed in moderation). I guess I better wait for it to flower just to be sure. Thanks for the guidance!

It's a fast growing climbing/trailing vine thingy that might make a nice hedge along the front fence. However, I don't want to allow it to take up space if my Russians cant eat it. Any idea what it is and if it is safe?
