Hatchling humidity: soaking vs enclosure overall

So this debate is going to be aimed specifically at hatchling tortoises and the act of soaking for proper shell growth and to prevent dehydration and how many people still prefer the method of daily soaking their baby to give them their daily humidity vs having a enclosure that maintains over...

I moved to a new place, and in my move I found these two eggs on Sep 2, 2018. They were not laid then since the had development already, so I am not sure of true date of laying. I cannot attach images for some reason.

Siblings and respect (or lack thereof)

I love siblings, though not mine all the time, and it can be easy to see how some respect each other. Or just don't care and sit on your head and eat your leaf.

    Marking Shells?

Thank you Tom. Do you have a specific brand name that you use, or just look for children nail polish.

    Marking Shells?

I would like to know what people use to safely mark their tortoise shells, specifically for hatchings. Would like a easier way to keep track of the babies.

    Meet Áfonya, Lift, and Mormota!

Glad the care sheet was able to help! I greatly look forward to seeing how they change and grow with you over the years. Cannot wait to see their adult enclosure you build for them in a few years time. I am also looking forward to the results of your uvb experiment as well.

The enclosure is absolutely lovely! Have you had a look at the care sheet for them?

    New baby

They are relatively average growing. My babies when hatching take about 1 year to reach 3 inches. So in about 2 years you should a almost full grown tortoise, and at 3 years they should have reached max adult. So looking at that takes them 3 years about to become adults. Grassland and Mazuri...

    Painting with the Pancakes

Two peed in the paint and two also pooped in the paint. It's a real organic piece. Maybe the next Jackson Pollack.

    Painting with the Pancakes

I used tempera paint. It's just a mix of egg yolk, water, and food colour. You can use fruit juice if you do not want to use food colour. Guides to make it at home are easy to find as well. They tasted it some, but lost interest in eating it and it's just egg so nothing to really worry about...
