    RVs winter dinner

Fruit is a rare treat and I wanted her face first in the food for her first mazuri of the season. And yes, that is soaked LS mazuri. I was a little perplexed when I opened the bag, my memory said "larger"...

Mazuri pellets, the purple is purple heart (we call it purple wandering jew). We grow it ourselves and have fed for years.

    RVs winter dinner

Well yes, technically it's not winter, but the Bermuda is done and she's a demanding girl. She'll block the door making it difficult to go outside; my 60# goofball pity gives her much leeway.

    Muck is good

She had a burrow for the longest time, but then the roof started caving in and she was trying to work her way out when there were stairs instead of the normal downward slide. Tom came by and actually went down the burrow - if you search you should find the post from that visit. We don't...

    Muck is good

Indeed. The slop was so thick I'm surprised (and grateful) she was able to haul herself out of it.

    RV's first taste of summer

She is a HAPPY girl! Temperatures these next few days stretching north of 105..106° so a treat is in order. We've been watering heavily as to have the Bermuda grow for her, and her grazing has increased. She is a very happy girl.

    Pretend Chat 2.14

I'd love to have a green thumb, but as RV controls the yard, my only space is in the upper deck, situated on the north facing wall. Only now is the sun trending over so the garden receives sunlight, and this weekend it will be 100* My plants really don't stand a chance, altho I've tried to...

    HELLO EVERYONE

Thank you. She is the empress of the yard, queen of the stomps.

    HELLO EVERYONE

Thank you. I've left the group. It hurts to see the positive far outweighed by the negative. One voice in the wilderness is not enough.

    HELLO EVERYONE

I'm a golden oldie (well, silver hair)... I've been away from the fold for a long while, and hopefully to be more a presence.

    HELLO EVERYONE

I am my own best friend. I'm getting worried though... I'm getting into arguments with myself and it may soon come to blows.

    HELLO EVERYONE

Right? I thought Cincinnati Chili was the weirdest thing (spaghetti?? WHAT????) And then it was a routine for me. 3 way bean with a large milk. Miss it. Oh how I miss it. I have bought the canned sauce and it just isn't right. There was a story quite some years ago about a fellow wooing...

    HELLO EVERYONE

Thanks! How's life in the Queen City? Are you able to get Skyline curbside? There are some things I miss (lived there 10 years). Skyline (or Goldstar, if I was in that part of town) and Graters. Of course, I can get the ice cream from Fry's aka Kroger's - but just the mainliners...

    HELLO EVERYONE

I've been delinquent and ask your forgiveness. I hope everyone is being careful, observing safe distancing, and are stocked up for the long haul. There is a sulcata board on facebook.. the owners there seem fumbling in the dark and I've been trying to send them here, In the back of my mind...
