Soaking 3 yr Old Ibera Greek

Hazel is a 3 year old Ibera Greek. She seems happy and healthy, eating regularly and stomping all over the place. Already a whopping 8 inches long and feels like a dang brick. My question is: at 3 years old, should I be soaking her regularly? Every day when I change her water dish (large clay...

8 in. 3 year old Greek

Hello! My Greek tort Hazel is sliding into her third birthday this September. She’s doing wonderful, seems to be as happy as can be (now that she’s calmed down from the move). No pyramiding, no problematic poops or urates. Eats mizuri, spring mix, clover, dandelion alternating them. I have not...

    Tortoise Leash

Yeah we just moved to a new house 2 weeks ago. The outdoor enclosure set up is on the to-do list. So for now, the leash is a wonderful security blanket for me [emoji1303]

    Tortoise Leash

I think it’s more size appropriate for Herman’s, Russians, and Greek size breeds. MAYBE an adult redfoot, but it’s hard to say though

    Tortoise Leash

I definitely don’t think it would be big enough for anything close to a leopard tort size range. I got a large for my 2.5 year old Greek and there’s still a lot of slack to made it bigger. She’s about 7 or so inches long, very wide.

    Tortoise Leash

Just wanted to share this great leash I found on amazon. I’m a nervous nelly about having hazel outside and this has really solved that problem for me. It’s super cute too. It even has a small bell on it [emoji23] I want to add the video of her first time wearing it! But I can’t figure out how...

    Stressed Tortoise??

Hello Everyone! I’m very worried about my girl Hazel. She’s around 2.5 years old and she’s a Greek tort. We just moved into our new home Saturday- 2 days ago. Her enclosure is the same, but temporarily has top soil only (I’m getting her regular cypress mulch tonight) and the humidity is slightly...

I’m glad to hear you say that. I wasn’t sure if you could soak “too long”. Thanks so much!

    Placement During Table Cleaning!

Hello! My sweet 1.5 year old Greek is wonderful and in great health. My questions is about when I clean her enclosure. She has a 3ftx6ft table, so it’s definitely going to take me at least an hour + to get all substrate out and the new substrate in. I’m not sure what to do with her during this...

No Urates or Poop During Soaks

10-12 m/o testudo graeca I just got my sweet girl Hazel this past Tuesday. She is a little nervous but is in good health. She's eating regularly and exploring her table (6x3). Eating recommended weeds and dark greens (dandelion, endive, collard, etc). She gets the calcium powder and is provided...
