Just left Repticon - Baton Rouge. Mostly snakes, lizards, geckos, even baby caiman alligators and a baby kangaroo. One vendor had about 5 baby sulcatas and that’s it! The snakes were cool, but I definitely wish there were more tortoise vendors. Hopefully next time tortoises will be more represented.
During some of my readings of Sulcatas I’ve come across “Thinline Sulcata”. Is that a variety of Sulcata, if so, how is it different from a common Sulcata?
Thanks.
Has anyone ever dealt with or heard of this vendor? From the looks of their website they seem to be really knowledgeable and passionate about their torts.
...just wondering.
Just letting anyone in the surrounding area know about this show. This will be my first Repticon, so I don’t know if tortoises will be represented.

I also have a small humidifier that I’ll put in there also. That little thing pumps out some serious humidity! I’ll keep the lights close the tort level.
Hey,
I’ve read that some species of tortoise shouldn’t be housed together. I am curious to know if Leopard and Hermanns tortoise hatchlings be housed together?
Thanks.
I’ve always wondered if there’s an intellectual difference amongst tortoise species. In other words, is one species of tortoise more intelligent than the other?
Sort of like how tortoise “personalities” vary from one species to another.
What are your thoughts?
