    Hibernation indoors

This is the first hibernation season I have had my 20-yr old three-toed box turtles. I have an indoor enclosure where they have been since early October when the weather got too cool for them outside {I live in northern Utah}. I have covered the enclosure with a screen now as I haven't seen them...

I'm more uneducated that I thought!

I'm still in my first year of having my three-toed box turtles so am still trying to figure all this out. They are 20 years old and their previous owner didn't give any details about hibernating besides they did and she just left them alone. I originally got on here to ask if there were signs to...

    Newbie

Fortunately...I found him this morning {just a few minutes ago} cuddled under a tree where I had looked a million times since 4pm yesterday. First time I've seen him totally closed up in his shell. He was really cold and acted lethargic. Took him a long time to get moving his arms and legs and...

    Newbie

I'm new to turtles and to this group. I've had a lot of questions I was going to ask but tonight there is just one. One of my 3-toed box turtles has wandered off. I have spent almost 7 hours crying and looking for him. My question is, assuming he isn't hurt, will he come home?
