I don't think they can get overweight, especially if they are eating grasses like they should.

Wow, What a handsome tortoise! My hatchlings have gone from 1oz in September 2018 to 7oz as of January 1st. Who knows what this new year will bring haha I am excited about it.

I've given them a printout with the right information. I'm guessing the problem starts with the breeder though.

Update.. It's not going so well. I'm guessing baby had a bad start.. a very cold one for sure because the previous owners had no heat source. I purchased the hatchling off Facebook garage sale. After a bit of proding i found out a teen had bought it from a a local petshop without permission...

Does this help any in determining age?

Oh, I have the tank under a window in my living room, air vent is on the other side but I keep my house at 75 anyways.
