Not sure about marigolds, but I know dandelion flowers are safe. My guy loves dandelions (stalk & all), petunias, & clover flowers (white & purple).

He is just getting used to you & the new environment. Our Sheldon did that too. Leave him be, & gradually let him get used to you. He will be fine.

I would suggest a nice soak (at least 20 minutes) several times a week in lukewarm water. Also, my Russian got more active when we made his enclosure brighter with a lamp. Finally, try aloe, collard greens in his diet. Good luck!

We have a Russian Tortoise. Yes, yours looks to be pyramiding. You should not let it roam freely around the apartment. You can get a big Rubbermaid container, put substrate in It, with a hideout and some water. These guys love to (and need to) burrow (especially at night). We have a heat lamp...

You need to separate them. It appears the biggerr one is bullying/ injuring the little one, poor thing.

I wouldn’t put anything on the shell unless it was medically necessary. They are not naturally shiny.
