My little guy LOVES the pellets. I soak them in water so they puff up. I give him more or less according to how much of his leafy greens I want him to eat. Id still keep those part of the diet whenever possible.
I vote male because of the slit shape of the cloaca as opposed to the star shape of female mediterranean torts. I was having some of the same questions until someone here gave me that info. hope it helps
