    Is My Tortoise Healthy?

Avoid tomato’s with her. Boxies and tomato’s or peppers do not mix very well. Also make sure she is getting enough warmth and calcium. Sometimes they can be pretty picky eaters and stubborn when it comes to changes but as long as you can slowly inroduce what she needs I’m sure she will be fine.

    Please help (not growing)

Honestly I wouldn’t be too concerned. Just as long as he is getting the right amount of calcium and light exposure. I don’t have experience with leopards but my Florida Box Turtle took awhile to notice any significant growth

Just wanted to show off her amazing transformation!

Honestly I had my doubts and didn’t see much change for a long time. Then all of a sudden she started growing and changing into what she is now.

@Oxalis thank you! I had no idea what I was doing when I got her but knew that the situation she was in wasn’t very good for her.

Just wanted to show off her amazing transformation!

This is my Florida box turtle that was prematurely hatched in 2014 I believe. August 2016 vs October 2018 ❤️ She still doesn’t have full use of her left front leg but she doesn’t let anything stop her! This just goes to show how resilient these creatures can be with the right love and care...

    Different types of box turtles.

Hahahaha that’s awesome. My girl is all about her food and comes to the same spot every day to “remind me” that it’s time to eat. I love that they all have personalities. She’s my first turtle and I never thought they all had their own little quirks but only because I’m use to rescuing dogs...

    Help (deformed box turtle baby)

I hope that poor little baby got the care he needed Surprisingly box turtles can be very resilient as long as they can get the proper care in time.

    Different types of box turtles.

I’m fairly new to how many different types of box turtles there are and as I’m learning it’s crazy to think that there are so many! I never even thought of cross breeding either in the wild or captivity! I also have a box turtle rescue and though I had no idea when she was younger, it’s very...

Hello! I’m brand new to this forum stuff so please forgive me.

I’m really excited about finally joining a tortoise forum! I’ve had so many questions over the past couple of years and google searching hasn’t been very helpful in a few areas. I have a 4 or 5 year old wild Florida box turtle that was prematurely hatched. Thankfully I have made leaps and...
