    Rescued Red-Eared Slider's shell is really dry.

    When I touch it, it feels like every other part of her shell. It's not flaky or cheesy. Judging from its colouration, it looks like bone. She doesn't seem to mind if I touch those places. It honestly looks like she scrapped off some part of her scutes (or shell? not sure on the terminology...
