Lately I have notice really tiny white bugs crawling in my RFs enclosure I’m not sure what they are. They seem to jump but I’m not sure. I have never seen any on my RF and there are no bites visible. The substrate is repti bark.

@Ben02 it’s had it ever since I’ve got it (2-3 months) but I do wet the substrate but not soaking wet and I mix it up so it’s not super wet

I’m pretty confident it’s shell rot but what is the best way to get rid of it and what could happen if I don’t get rid of it?

My baby tortoise has had this ever since I got it and I’m starting to be concerned that it is shell rot

Are ceramic heat emitters better then heat bulbs because I don’t want to stress out my tortoise but I don’t want it to be too hot for it either please help.

His temps go from 60-70 but I have a basking area that goes to 80-90 but I’m going to switch to CHE so his enclosure reaches the temps needed

I did his heating and humidity wrong and I’m going to fix it as soon as possible so my tortoise is not cold thanks for the feedback

I use regular a 150 watt heat lamp but should I really switch to a heat emitter instead? Because I think my tortoise is cold which could cause these symptoms to happen and it would also explain the inactivity
