Yes he does have a house of dry hay and plenty of water that is available always. Which ‘he has to go find’. He is well taken care of.

Is my tortoise bored, need enrichment?

Mine really gets happy when I visit him twice a day. I don’t have a cam as I may rely too much on it. Don’t forget to let him see you❤️. Hiding small snax is a good idea as their sense of smell is strong. I don’t feed too much during cold temps; no movin’ no foodin’ is our way. He has to come...

recently adopted a 22 year old male sulcata who was fed improper diet.

Get him the kiddie sandbox (comes with lid) that is sold at toy stores. Looks like a big greenvturtle do it will attract him😆You can float some colorful food in it. Most big torts can get in and out no prob, or you can make a ramp with rocks. Water will need to be warm mine likes it 86-88...

    HAY vs. GRASS vs. STRAW

Mine loves orchard grass hay in winter; I stuff it in a separate house in the cooler side of his winter habitat and he does not poop or sleep in it. Works well at this time.

15lb Sulcata in burrow for 24 hours --- when should I worry / dig out

I think he is impressed with his hide. He prob will surface. My tort is constantly "evolving" in his area (Georgia) and he has yet to dig. Which is confusing me! I guess he is too happy not to? He is about 10 years old. He lets me know when to worry. Keep us posted.
