I am a little lazy in my terminology. Online distributors is what is what I am thinking of. But ideally also breeder or close enough to know breeding conditions of what they are selling.
What is the preferred way to acquire a redfoot tortoise?
There are some semi-local shops (Petsway) in southern Missouri that have cherry heads and redfoots in stock for $299.99. They say they are captive bred. How do you verify this?
Also, there is a reptile exhibit coming to the same time...
So is this a cherryhead? I know a lot of redfoots have red heads when young, but how can you tell the difference between a cherryhead and a normal redfoot when they are young?
This makes sense, but it seems like $150 would do the same. I get if it is super healthy. But I see some that look awful and the rehoming is more than what a healthy young one would be.
