Herbie Update: 2y9m weight: 22.8 lbs. Warm weather is here and he spends days outside grazing and adventuring.

Herbie is doing well. Confirmed it’s a boy. Growing and getting strong. Enjoying his spa day.

I read it all before I got Herbie I am aware. Herbie likes to move things around but is actually pretty chilled. I think it’s also much easier having only one. He likes to follow one of the dogs.

Don’t scare me 😂 was thinking he is “on track” with growth. Making sure “he” eats correct diet. Didn’t want to eat grass and now won’t stop. Makes me happy.

Figured it’s update time since Herbie will be turning 2 in 2 weeks. He weights close to 12lbs. He spends his life doing tortoise things. Lots of outside time in the sun, snacking, throwing dirt on his shell and adventuring. This is his relaxing space. Has everything he needs. Little “pool”...

Not for everyone I guess. People forget they want to leave for 2 weeks for vacation etc.

Yes she is. People take them in because they are cute they don’t realize how needy, intelligent, hyper and high maintenance they are. For example haircuts 😂. I have two doodles and I would never let them go.

Yes she is pretty cute and a handful. Keeps me very busy. Neighbors dropped her off last year after they decided they not gonna keep her.

Herbie is doing well. Very content spending time outside. Eating grass, weeds and some flowers. He is 4178g (1 year 9 months).

At least she died in warm temps. It is very disappointing but I know those are years of wrong care.

Unfortunately tortoise didn’t make it. I went this morning gave her another carrot soak. She had not ability to hold her head up. Gave her a bit of Mazuri “shake”. She kinda drank a bit but didn’t wanted to eat. She was gasping for air. However no bubbles were coming out from her nose I...

They did the soak and also covered the top with aluminum foil. I will help build cover and help with lights, Che etc.
