    Update on my bonnie! Austwickia

It's been about 6 months since an update on my bonnie! Those who have followed know her story and the long hard struggle since she has austwickia chelonae (yellow bumps) She's now going to be 3 years old in August and has been clear of bumps for over 2 years. Until about a month ago I was...

    Short update on bonnie! Austwickia

I do agree, check out my lower reply to another comment. In that regard, since Clyde is thriving and growing completely normally..I would DEFINITELY be curious as to whether his blood could.. 🤔🤔

    Short update on bonnie! Austwickia

Thank you so much for caring!! And yes definitely sooner next time! And actually, the other baby, Clyde, that I got with Bonnie has also been bump free to date and is absolutely thriving. He lives outside now and has gotten huge!! Haven't measured him, but I would guess about a 7-8 inch shell❤️❤️❤️

    Short update on bonnie! Austwickia

Quick update because it's been so long! Not much time.. but Bonnie is still doing amazing! To say our road has been bumpy would be the under statement of the century..but still she's here and loving life. To those of you who don't know her story, and/or dealing with austwickia, please go back...

    Need sulcata outdoor enclosure ideas

When we first adopted our adult sulcata we had chain link fence and he busted out because he could see through it. Since then, we enclosed his yard with 2 ft x 8 ft tin sheets with metal poles and 4 x 4's dug into the ground as supports. He uses it to turn around while making his laps but never...

Baby sulcata Broken claws and leg scales

Were the bumps always the first sign of the decline? Or have any had other issues that began the regression? And how large did the biggest sulcata get before the decline started? Curious, since I know it usually stunts their growth...🥺

Is this that dreaded, vile yellow bump issue?

Ohhh I was. My big ~18 year old sulcata has never shown his manhood before until a few days ago. I bout had a damn heart attack? makes me wonder if that little ugly thing might be a female and been hiding out in my tort pen for a few days now. ?

Is this that dreaded, vile yellow bump issue?

Absolutely. And speaking of..I found this ugly thing inside my closed off tortoise pen this morning. Wtf

Is this that dreaded, vile yellow bump issue?

Absolutely, I am extremely cautious. The baytril for Bonnie back in Oct just got her through her RI or whatever else was going on, did not do anything for the bumps. I don't know that she would ever get big enough to go outside anyway, but she is slowly and surely growing so I play everyday by...

Is this that dreaded, vile yellow bump issue?

I am so sorry that you're going through this, but know that you are NOT alone. I got 2 hatchlings in august..Bonnie and Clyde. Both with austwickia. Bonnie has it much worse than Clyde. The bumps came, multiplied, dried, and then slouched off. Clyde then shredded alot of skin and lost a couple...

    New Enclosure heating setup

Ditch that red lamp! Its bad for them. I use a che bulb of night and flood bulb for day..both if its too cold since its a small house, probably 100 watt che and maybe 125 incandescent flood bulb. I use with cheap brooder lamps from tractor supply
