    How much more work is it to have more than one tortoise? I have one Russian tortoise and would love to have a Burmese star. I anticipate having to keep them in separate enclosures, indoors and outdoors. What am I not thinking of?

    Just took my Russian tortoise to the vet for a check up. She recommended we hibernate him. This makes me nervous. I really don’t want to kill my tortoise. Any tips? The vet also recommended Flukers liquid reptile vitamin twice a week. Does anyone use this? Good idea?

    Is there a cheaper source for orchid bark? I bought a few 3lb bags of small sized orchid bark, but each bag is $19. I’m trying to give my tortoise 4” of substrate, but I think I would need a LOT more substrate to cover her enclosure. is this just the way it is? Do I need to replace all of it...
