The top/lighter one is Wisteria. 😀😍 The bottem/darker one is Emerelda. (Emm-er-el-da) I might pick a different name for Emerelda cause it just doesn't really suit her. But Emeralda is her name for now. What do y'all think?

It hasn't gone up on temperature yet cause I just put it under.... but this is the right way right? The tortoises top shell should be about half the size of this temperature gauge. And it is directly under the heat lamp.

Okay. So my baby stinkpot turtle finally ate a snail. I was sort of surprised cause the snail was the biggest freshwater snail I have ever seen in our creek but. Yeah, I'm use to small ones so... but anyway. I am so happy puppy finally decided to take a bite.

I know someone that breeds sulctata tortoises and he puts the babies in a plastic tub with a heat pad and he never has any problems. So I guess my question is. Can a Use a heat pad with a thermostat in my future baby sulctata tortoises enclosure. If not then why?

Finally came in the mail. My tortoises basking spot is 99 F. And the warm side is 80-75 F. And cool side is 70 F. Should I try and get the warm side up to 85?
