Has anyone seen this? I’m trying to figure out if it is real or a joke:

I swear Fezzik could fit through this space last year. Only way to fix this would be to shave down the wood. He doesn’t seem to mind… as he goes back and forth thru this corner a lot (also he does not “need” to do this, everything is accessible from the other side). Anyone see any safety...

at least it doesn't look like he's in a tortoise box all the time. But still, at 11" he probably can't even fit into the hide area
I know they make this plea every year, but sharing in an case new people in AZ are looking (https://www.kvoa.com/townnews/pets/arizona-game-and-fish-asking-for-help-to-find-homes-for-sonoran-desert-tortoises/article_55fab396-ede1-11ee-b186-43fa586eb607.html)
Also note to those in CA, they are...
I am guessing Sulcata, but if they are CDT maybe we can get CTTC to take them...

poor things
I’m seeing some new/unusual behavior for Fezzik (adult male Russian I’ve had for two years). I’m hoping this is just seasonal transition stuff. Apart from being way more active inside (very unusual he is a real inactive tortoise even outside in his large enclosure), he is being very active...
Man - I really feel badly for this guy. I hope the alligator ends up somewhere good.
But I do feel its so reflective of people who get reptiles (or any other pet) without thinking of the future. Like what do you THINK is going to happen when you buy a pet that lives 50+ years...
Makes me want to cry. if anyone is in the area looking, consider saving this one from its current awful enclosure. I'm guessing they hadn't had it long or it would be in much worse shape

Well I bit the bullet and finally started posting Fezzik videos on IG, like everyone else on the planet! The quality is poor b/c right now its just ring camera for his indoor enclosure. Eventually I want to get a proper video setup outside...

I know I shouldn't repost this, but I couldn't resist: anyone have $2500 lying around for a garden-variety Sulcata you can otherwise get almost for free... (at least his shell looks pretty good!)

I'm curious to know at what temperatures other Russian/Horsefield outside (if you bring them inside for the winter).
I am seeing people in colder climates than mine let them out in the 50s or 60s (10-15 Celsius). I usually don't let mine out until its around 70 outside (21c) but I'm wondering...
Is it possible will all the server upgrades happening we can allow people to post photos on the adoptions forum?
Just a thought that it would be really helpful.

Today in the Fezzik Files: sometimes I think he knows what the camera is and tries to summon me to bring him breakfast, as he ain’t eating yesterday’s leftovers!

Not tortoise related, but since the recent thread on space heaters shows so much knowledge here, I thought I'd tap this group for advice for anyone who cares to give it!
Less than 2 years ago, I had a new HVAC system installed (Goodman). Worked great until recently, but now its not starting up...
Not sure if its just me, but when I try to do the Search function (either regular or advanced) its not showing me anything more recent than Sept 2023. Could be me, but in case not wanted to alert as FYI...
A turtle photo has made the top five in people's choice award photos.

Anyone know what kind it is? @Yvonne G @zovick
