Man - I really feel badly for this guy. I hope the alligator ends up somewhere good. But I do feel its so reflective of people who get reptiles (or any other pet) without thinking of the future. Like what do you THINK is going to happen when you buy a pet that lives 50+ years...

I'm curious to know at what temperatures other Russian/Horsefield outside (if you bring them inside for the winter). I am seeing people in colder climates than mine let them out in the 50s or 60s (10-15 Celsius). I usually don't let mine out until its around 70 outside (21c) but I'm wondering...
