    Plastron

Hi guys, checked my guys shell today and noticed he has these wrinkles on his plastron. Just curious as to what they are, he is very active and the shell doesn't feel soft or anything. I've had him 3 days now and he's doing great! My thoughts are that it could maybe be from the egg sack as he is...

    Slightly damp substrate

Yes it is a closed chamber. I've had no issue keeping the viv at 80% humidity with dry substrate as I ran a couple test weeks to see what the conditions of the tank were like before I ordered the little guy. Think I might have been a bit enthusiastic with the spraying with the excitement of...

Here is the poor fella, like I said he's been here less that 5 hours and this is exactly how he was delivered, hasn't moved a muscle and isn't fased by being touched or anything, no signs of response or movement. I'm going to ring the company I ordered him from in the morning and see what the...

    Baby redfoot

Hi all, I've had a baby red foot delivers this afternoon. It's been in the enclosure since I got it about 4 hours ago. I haven't seen any sign of life or movement from him. I'm assuming this is probably just due to the baby being afraid due to the transport and new environment. Is it normal for...

    Red foot Humidity at night

Yeah, I'll get rid of the basking bulb then and just use the CHE for heating. I would let the little guy outside but can't right now because temperatures in the UK are around 10c. That wouldn't be pleasant 😂

    Red foot Humidity at night

Thanks for the advice! I'm defo going to order a CHE for the tank so the temps are definitely around 80 for night time. I have a basking bulb in the enslosure right now which I used for my bearded dragon, it keeps day time temps around 88 in the hot end and around 80 in the cool end. Should I...

Yeah I'm sure about the numbers, I've been seeing the enclosure up for the past week or so and want to make sure I have everything right before I get the tortoise so will put it on hold until I think it's ready. I'm going to order a CHE this afternoon, I've already got a thermostat I can connect...
