I had George out today while cleaning his enclosure. After snapping some photos I see what looks like a "skirt" around the bottom. Is this normal? I adopted him 3 years ago with some pyramiding, but never noticed this skirt so pronounced.

I have a dog with chronic digestive issues. The vet is talking about leaving him on a home cooked diet. Does anyone cook for their dogs? I' working on supplements and making it a complete diet and would like to see if I'm on the right track.

Improvement? 1st photo adoption day. Next 2 photos now. Smoother? As you know, George was pyramided when I adopted him almost 2 years ago. I think his shell is looking improved. What do you think? The first photo is on adoption day.
