Yeah i did mean length:P. I could add 5 extra inches in L but im a bit sutck for space inside. Plus it wouldn't be the full time enclosure, just when at night or when they can't go outside
I'm from the UK too, check these out - theyre pretty cheap and do the same job http://www.amazon.co.uk/Reptipet-Clamp-Lamps-Silver-150w/dp/B001U1NAK0/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=garden&qid=1241804162&sr=8-3
Nice one, thanks Dan:D. Yeah 5 was my rough guess... thanks!
Also...is there anything adnormal about her shell...I always thought it was kinda too big?
I've had my tortoise for a while now and have always assumed her to be a female russian. Is this true?:P I don't really have a clear idea on the age, any estimates?
Thannnks:)
Conflicting advice on substrates - retailers tell may tell you that on thing is good when other places such as the tortoise trust say that it is dangerous etc.
Also glass vivariums vs tortoise tables
I decided to get a mega-ray for basking with also has UV and a cermatic heat emitter along with my old UV tube light (which i think is reptiglo 5.0)
Dutton - look for mega ray, although i havent tried it yet and it v. expensive, you get a warranty:)
I dig up the gorund and put chicken wire underneath then rolled the turf back over it[hr]
The clay pot thingy is serving as a water dish at the moment till i can find something bigger[hr]
This is the frame i put over it to stop him climbing out or predators getting in
