well if your not comfortable with your bark, you can make a hide box. my tort always sleeps in here now.

for the past two weeks he loves staying and sleeping in his humid hide box basically the whole day!

Woah boy! I bought myself the coil bulbs from zilla for my red foot. I'm glad I researched about it before I used it. I returned. I instead just sticked with mvb.
They say either mvb or use the long bulbs. Never use the compact one, which is the coil bulbs.
i honestly get offended when people call my tortoise a turtle. but when i dont feel like correcting them for goodness sakes i just tell them... "yeah, turtle..." but seriously, i nag my mom about calling it turtle. its not a turtle, it a "tortoise"!!!!!!!! tortoise are land and turtles are...

anyways, i use a 100w MVB bulb which i only use when soaking my tort in the morning along...
well i actually try to follow turtle tary's website, umm i think it redfoots.com or turtletary.com i forgot which. i use the sphagnum moss from tary's website got it from home depot. i also got zoo med terrarium moss, and i think beak moss or peat moss. i just decided to mix it all up together...
