Thanks ascott. I will look into peat moss. I figured the dyes or bleaches would be a problem and the mulch is expensive in large quantities at pet stores. Does peat moss hold humidity as well as the mulch?

Does the water fall on the hot side help with keeping humidity up at all? Did you notice a difference when you added it? I recently looked at one and considered getting it but put it off for now. I really like it in your enclosure. I may have to find a way to fit one in!

I will keep that in mind in the future if/when I decide to add on. I am getting a little ahead of myself but I am really looking forward to learning more, gaining confidence and being able to house a herd! :-)
