Hi there, if you can get this species, pangshura tecta is a really peaceful turtle. So far I never see they become aggressive toward other species. My friend who is breeder of this species also has same opinion.

I think eventually they will serve as fish steak for your turtle. Another thing, chinese algae eater not really good for algae control, especially when they grow up. Siamese is okay. Instead, use UVC filter or control your ammonia level to reduce algae inside your tank.

No idea, but I think all algaecide is harmful. Add a UVC filter, it will help kill algae for sure and sand filter is mechanical filter, it won't work on algae. I wonder how much ammonia in your water. It looks like your water not cycled well to have that green algae.

I think don't mix acrylic with glass for the four main wall. Like others say, they just scratch and turn ugly later, but I might use the acrylic to build up the turtle dock and ramp to save cost if that what you wish for.

You could design a special tank for that purpose. Make a hole at the bottom for easy filtering and drainage of water. It seems easier to me to do that.

Ascott, I have several turtles, and beside the caramel one, the others never have problem to eat the pellets in one bite. I really hope someone can share their experiences with eye sightrs of all the albino lines

That sanyu turtle pellet is trash, just throw it away... I also don't think that pellet available in US, it's local one.
