Hi,
Thanks! yes, my vet is really knowledgable, I've gone to him for about 15 years. There's very few vets where I live that treat turtles so I am lucky and have a lot of confidence in him
She's had the same habitat for 6 yrs, heat lamp and uv lights. She eats crickets and some veg, lettuce and fruit but her main diet is calcium dusted crickets
I've had her for over a year, and never had an issue. The person before me had the same setup for 5 years. I'll try the Vitamin A . Thanks. Is the Vit. A a liquid and how much should I add to her water?
My turtle has always loved crickets and is aggressive in running and catching them. Today I gave her crickets and she shows absolutely no interest. I noticed her eyes are puffy. Any idea what is going on with her???
Thanks for replying. I was told he was an eastern box turtle and didn't realise he was an ornate. I think he is about 5 or so. I assume he is a he as that is what the guy told me.
I have tried fruits and vegetables and he will sometimes eat carrots and peas but thats it, seems to be hit and...
I find my ornate bt a fussy eater. The previous owner fed mostly a live cricket diet. He goes after them aggressively, so that is not a problem. It is a problem trying to feed him other food. Any suggestions? Thanks
I have an Eastern box turtle. His beak looks the same as when I got him but I'm not sure how long it should be. The previous owner said he had cracked it a bit on a rock when he was chasing crickets

Oh that's right. I remember my sister said she saw trucks in the back alleys. The enclosure is in the front yard. I can move it around which is handy. Its rained here a few times the past week, so I will soak the lawn really well
We dont have a choice if and when they spray. They do it every year. It isn't going to change. U can ask to not have yr yard sorayed probably but I am on a city street where the rest is sprayed. No point me getting worked up about it now,, its done.
So there is not a safe amt of time passing...
Yes me too, it would be really to bad if it turns out she can't be outdoors .. She loves it outside. I thought maybe because its rained that it might be ok
