My turtle has always loved crickets and is aggressive in running and catching them. Today I gave her crickets and she shows absolutely no interest. I noticed her eyes are puffy. Any idea what is going on with her???
I find my ornate bt a fussy eater. The previous owner fed mostly a live cricket diet. He goes after them aggressively, so that is not a problem. It is a problem trying to feed him other food. Any suggestions? Thanks
I have an Eastern box turtle. His beak looks the same as when I got him but I'm not sure how long it should be. The previous owner said he had cracked it a bit on a rock when he was chasing crickets
My city sprayed for mosquitos last week. It's rained a few times since then and I'm wondering if it is safe or when/if it would be safe for her to graze? I have a big pen that I put her in sometimes
I don't think that a box turtle and a redfoot can live together but a person I spoke with today was positive they can? They are very different in personalities too, the rft is layed back and the box turtle is very active.
Hi, we bought Italian parsley for a recipe and have a lot left over.
Would this be safe to give to my tortoises? Also can I feed my redfoot grape tomatos?
Basic question I assume but how do you know if a tortoise has worms or not? I was thinking about it with shelloise and was wondering if that could have been an issue
I use timothy, orchard and also oat hay for a couple of my pets and was wondering if any or all would be good if i chopped them up to add to their food? It is hard during the winter here to have other than supermarket greens.
This is a long shot but I have to have the bottom and one side of the glass tank in my wood enclosure replaced as it is cracked. Does anyone know anyone that can build or repair glass tanks or a place I can get glass cut in winnipeg?
My russian is in a 36x20.5 enclosure right now. What size is considered a decent size keeping in mind that although bigger is better, I don't have room for a huge enclosure

Also she digs most of the time, I am considering a tort table, a large rubbermaid type container or an aquarium
Now that my redfoot is in a much larger enclosure I wanted to ask what would be good to have in it to make it interesting for my redfoot. Rocks to climb over etc? She has plants and a bridge to hide under but I need something else
so I have a really nice enclosure someone built in woodshop at school/ very solid, and has a glass lining in it. Unfortunately when they were bringing it over to my place they broke 2 sides so i need to replace the glass. the enclosure housed two russin torts and now just one,.
what I don't...
I was going to use air barrier plastic (?) I found in storage for the liner in the tort table, then duct tape it a few inches up the sides. But I read about corugated plastic, would that be ok to bend in the corners and is it a good idea?

I was looking at several enclosures in that section and noticed a fair range of substrates. Other than soil, what do you guys prefer and why? What works best for a RF? Thanks.
It's day three and the sealant is dry but rubbery and still a bit soft under pressure. My husband used a lot. Is it supposed to cure hard or rubbery ????
I was thinking of putting a plastic liner on the floor of it but it is probably as sealed as you can get lol
Olive is getting a new tort table and I was thinking of buying plexiglass, which worked great. But then I looked around and I had 3 long transparent storage box lids. Works out perfectly. The last one has romm beside it for the heat and uvb...
