The reason I don't want to ship him is that I want to see your set-up before I let him go. I need to make sure I'm sending him to a good home, not to someone who's just going to sell him.
It breaks my heart, but due to housing issues (mine, not his) I have to give up my baby, Puck. He's 5 years old, definitely a boy, and in good health. I don't know how much he weighs because I don't own a scale, but his carapace is between 13 and 14 inches long. He's easy to feed since he eats...
What Tom said.
My sully's big on walking the perimeter of her enclosure, too. So I put her water dish against a wall so she would walk through it often, and it works. She also likes scrambling over things, so I put rocks she can climb over on the perimeter as well. Mine's a lot bigger than...
That's good to hear. There are many different kinds of oak leaves, and mine are smallish and sort of stiff with prickers around the edges, and they stay green for a long time after they fall. I worry because they're green and bite-sized. Hopefully one taste will be the last!
I'm hoping for suggestions here. My entire yard is shaded by a huge oak tree. My sully is now getting too big for her indoor enclosure, so this summer I have to create her outdoor enclosure in my yard. I read that oak leaves are bad for torts, but there isn't an inch of ground where they don't...
My friend's sulcata has what looks to us like unusually wide white growth lines. Does this look like a problem to anyone? Could it be a fungal infection or something?
That first picture is so precious with Ninja sitting inside her food dish to eat! I think you should submit that one for the calendar this year. It'll get my vote!:D
BTW, cute babies!
Puck's eye looks fine today. I did go get a bottle of saline and squirted a bunch of it at her closed eye. After the initial surprise, when she pulled her head in, it must have felt good, because she let me keep doing it and didn't pull her head in again. Whether or not that had anything to do...
I got home from work today and Puck has one of her eyes closed, and she's rubbing it with her leg from time to time. Clearly she either got something in it or scratched it or something. Problem is, it's Saturday evening so the vet is closed.
The closed eyelid is white, which I think is its...
Help! Puck has a weepy eye all of a sudden. I'm assuming this means a vet visit, and I'm making an appointment. Is there anything that can be done in the meantime?
Missy's a cutie! What, no In & Out for her?;) Seriously, though, that's a really cute picture. So's the one from Angela, but it's almost scary at the same time!
What a nice big sully! And his enclosure, too! It looks like he has everything he could possibly need. But I wouldn't count on his not wandering when the gate's left open. They walk for miles in the wild, so walking is just what they do, whether or not they're perfectly happy where they are. I'd...
My best friend and I got our sullys around the same time, in the spring/summer of last year. Hers may be a month or two older than mine. Hers is still the size of yours, while mine weighs over a pound now. Hers is perfectly healthy, just small. She's been feeding her the same amount from the...
