So my hatchling has a hard time eating. If left to eat on his own he is an air biter, I have resorted to holding his food for him then he will eat his fill. Is this normal? If I do not hold food for her then she will give up and not eat. Has anybody gone thru this before and how to teach...

Glad to hear yours is doing so well. It was the one at the state fair grounds. LittleFoot is doing great now eating every day and enjoying the humid hide will even come out of it on her own now and again. Life is good when all my torty's are eating and doing well.

Hey all just became a member here and thought I would show pics of my new hatchling RF. A friend of mine bought him at a reptile expo for me he was severely dehydrated and didn't eat for 5 days but last night he finally ate and today has a great appetite.

Grocery greens will do just fine in the winter Try to get fresh weeds and greens this summer. Also be cautious of pellet foods. They have a high grain content avoid feeding any grains or soy products. Congrats on the new little guy.
