Still looking for someone who would be interesting in my 8 year old female sulcata. I can include a large hide with cinderblocks to make her outdoor enclosure. Breaks my heart.
Looking for an experienced keeper who would be willing to adopt my little girl. Life changes have forced me to keep her with my dad and he is not taking good care of her. She does have one eye that she was born with. Please let me know. Willing to buy her back when my situation is different.

Hello All,
It's been a while!
So I wanted to ask the group about tortoise shell growth. My Teo was born with a "dimple" in a scute on her backside of the shell. As she is maturing now, It looks like the growth is somewhat irregular (not completely straight and some slight bumping). It is not as...
I have 12' by 3'3" rubber lined tortoise table that stands a little over 2' tall that I need gone. My tortoise out grew it a while ago and i just been growing weeds in it to harvest. Im upgrading yet again and need that space. Its definitely a two man move. Make an offer.
Hey guys.
I noticed that between my girls scutes it's starting to look like its cracking.. normally she would have nice straight lines.. not sure if she got too dry or too hot under the bulb?. Let me know what you think. She also was born with a little "dimple" on her back scute so that has...
Just wanted to update. Teo turned a year old last month. She still lives in a closed tank with high humidity. She eats mainly timothy/orchard grass pellets (soaked). Clover, grass and weeds offered as well. She has only had store greens once or twice.
This is Teo. I just wanted to show people how well she is doing with using the advice of the forum, She has a "dimple" on her shell she has had from birth. Otherwise her shell is perfectly smooth. :) I attached a picture of some of the greens we grow for her in the classroom, And yes.. she was...
If anybody in michigan is looking there are a couple of (what appear to me) Horsefields Tortoises. She's asking $50 a piece. They look like they are housed in a rabbit cage thin layer of substrate, dirty water, and eating what looks like iceberg lettuce. Just from what I can see in the pics...
I just recently started to grow sprouts for my baby sulcata. She LOVES them and they appear to be very easy to eat. I am a little concerned about her ingesting the shell of the seed that sometimes stay attached to the young root of the sprout. Should i worry? Does anyone know if the shell from...
just thinking out loud. But has anyone ever put several layers of stone down in a closed chambor enclosure, then top it off with cypress mulch? So the water is in the rocks instead of the mulch? Would the humidity stay high?
just curious.
I been unable to locate a 100w MB UVB bulb. Settled for a 160W. However It gets much to warm for the enclosure (Closed chambor for humidity) i have tried to raise it to lower temps but then I can no longer keep my enclosure closed. would a dimmer work? or would it affect the uvb rays too much?
Hello everyone from Michigan!
A surprised new owner of a baby Sulcata Tortoise. Teodora "Dora" as I call her came from a friend who breeds ball pythons and other reptiles. She was a gift due to the fact she was born a little "different". Dora only has one eye. and a small "dimple" in the back...
