Hypomelanstic Redfoot tortoises (Chelonoidis carbonaria). We have some eggs cooking in the incubator now. Should have some babies hatching next month if all goes well. This will be our first year hatching hypos!!! Have a great weekend TFO members:)
It's that time of the year, tortoise babies are hatching. From left to right, Pardalis Pardalis, cherryhead, Indian star, and babcocki leopard tortoise. Gotta love them!
2 unique high blonde/white leopard hatchlings hatched out here in sunny CA on 2/3/15. I'm digging the blonde hatchling with no leopard markings on the scutes.
I was on the way to my local vet for some routine tortoise check ups . All of the sudden I glanced over my shoulders and saw this ! I had to pull over and merge onto the emergency lane. I just couldn't stop laughing, these tortoises sure make my day :)
I took some of my Indian Star females in for a vet routine checkup . 3 females were taking in , I suspected 1 out of the 3 females to be gravid. To my surprise all 3 females are carrying eggs![SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH][SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH][SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH]

I've been busting my behind for the past week now on this build. This build took longer than expected , but hurray it's finally done ! I built an indoor incubation/tortoise room. This room will be used for housing all of my offsprings, incubators, and housing my star tortoises during the winter...
Just cheeked the incubator, to my surprise I see 7 beautiful leopards hatched . I swear this experience never gets boring! It's just so freaking awesome....
This hatchlings just hatched minutes ago , I've never produced a hatchling missing it's vertebral scute . The #1 vertebral scute has a brown line thru it , but it isn't split.
