new box turtle what to do?

I would put the poor guy back. Plus a 50 gallon tank isn't big enough for two boxies andddd both male. You need like a 1male to 3female ratio.

    Koop

I recently moved koopa from inside to an outside turtle table. He absolutely loves the space and natural sun. It's an added bonus that his color is popping more ;) haha

    Three toed boxie

So just a little but ago I had koopa out giving him a good soak out on this nice day. I pick him up and he closed his shell all of the way!! I'm just posting because I thought they didn't start to grow their hinge until a couple of years old? He's only 8 months.

    Keeping Males together?

I would keep them separated, unless you are willing to get a good amount of females.

    Still thinking young male?

Looks male, would need to see if the plastron is starting to concave, and the tail. From the doming of the carapace it looks male.

    Box turtle basics

Depends on the age if the turtles. Hatchlings need a different setup than adults.

    Hungry baby

I wouldn't leave crickets in thee turtles habitat unless they have food, they will sometimes chew on baby turtles.

    Just my buddy

Okay well, he is about 4 months old. I have him in a 75 gallon tank until I get this bid on a house, then I'll buy a 200 gallon plastic pond liner from lowes until he outgrows it. Five foot I will need a permit from DNR in Indiana. After, my dad does concrete, so I'll have him make an outdoor...

    Itty bitty

They usually won't eat if their eyes are shut, best thing for you to do is give it a warm water soak every day and chicken/carrot baby food soak. If it lasts much longer I would take it to the vet.

Extremely small common musk turtle - shoft undershell - is it a problem?

I'm pretty sure the plastron in almost all turtles are somewhat soft when they are hatchlings.
