Not sure if my little one would still be my chum if I put her in one of these but I enjoyed looking through them :)
Apologies of these have already been shared, just thought they were too sweet to pass by :)
Hi everyone, I'm Becky and I have a Russian, Shelby.
Today my friend called to say he was temporarily looking after his sisters friends two tortoises as she was in the process of moving and could I go round to help set up etc.
Now I'm no expert, I rely on the good folk of this forum for advice...
I've just purchased these two bulbs as my tortoise is now indoors and as it's my first winter with her I am not letting her hibernate.
She currently has a bulb which isn't uvb (I think) and just provides heat which wasn't a problem before the winter set in as she spent majority of the time...
I've had my tort a couple of months now, a Russian. I've previously expressed my concern about how little she drinks and passes fluid.
Well today after a nice long soak she passed urine and also urates I believe, white gritty/sand looking substance.
However I am not familiar with urates and if...
Here is Shelby giving me a helping hand on the laptop, she climbed up from the table onto my keyboard.

Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend :)
I have a Russian who was on sand when I bought her, kept her on sand for 3-4 weeks whilst she settled then swapped to coco coir. I followed the instructions regarding soaking the brick but even after a week I feel that it's too damp. Shelby buries herself instantly to the point where she doesn't...
I've had Shelby for four weeks now.
She lives indoor free to roam the house but does spend the majority of the day in the garden.
Her food and water are in the same place and she is familiar with that and always goes there for her food but I have only seen her drink once (I think she was...
So I'm just on the sofa with a hot water bottle and blanket feeling abit under the weather and Shelby decides she wants in on the hot water bottle action (don't worry it's not boiling water and there's a blanket over it too).
She comes climbing up and falls asleep on top of the hot water...
Hi everyone,
I've had my Russian tort for 4 weeks now. When I first got her she was on sand and I kept her on sand for the first few weeks to try and help her settle.
Yesterday I swapped my substrate to coco coir which I didn't really know too much about before being advised on here to try it...
Hi everyone.
I've only had my girl, a horsefield, for a few weeks now and unfortunately I know little about her past which is frustrating.
Could anyone give me and advice on bathing please?
Currently I am bathing her everyday maybe once every other day in Luke warm water, however she doesn't...
