Today we prepared a new enclosure for our stars. Substrate is paper and grass over it. Some stones and a watering corner. Lets see how they adjust.

My stars are now a week with me. Yesterday they pooped quite a lot more than usual. The consistency of the poop was semisolid and dark colored. Usually they just pass the white urate in a teardrop quantity.
Also, this is the first time they have pooped and that too so much. Hope...

I just got a pair of stars yesterday. Have kept them for the time being in a tray with newspaper as substrate for the time being (see pix). In the process of making a proper enclosure. I was wondering if I could use fern leaves/ blades as a substrate and if so would the stars be harmed...
