Buddy attended a school fund-raiser in Alvin Texas today. The 15th annual Turtle race.
Kids adopt/purchase a PLASTIC turtle. About 5000 are dumped into Mustang Bayou to a finish line.
Kids fun run also.
Buddy LOVED the attention.
I had to go thru a lot of paperwork and a wellness VET check up.
I went to the Tulsa Zoo, Saturday, October 18th and met with one of the people that take care of the 5 adult torts. Big Al, 120 years old, 380 pounds. Dozer, 28, brother Mo, 28... sexy girls Kadabra, age 30 and Tofi age 33.
They have the most incredible house, a/c in the summer, heated concrete...
I finally got Buddy up on his scafford. It can support up to 500 pounds.
Now I can do pedi treatments for him and when the vet comes, he can't get away.

My friend Brent has 6 yearling sulcatas in need of good homes. He didn't mention a price but I think it would be nice to offer him something for one. He lives near me in Friendswood Texas. If you want one let me know.
Brent has 8 adult Sulcatas asn they have babies every year.
My Buddy was enjoying the sun Friday and some punk guy around age 21 climbed my fence and poured some white liquid on him. Good thing I have survallance cameras! I called the police and made a report. I just happened to be home and washed off Buddy and he's ok. I was so angry and upset... why...
Ok, me and Buddy survived winter, constipation causing his rear leg to drop. Now his foot scale pads are coming off on three legs at the bottom of his feet. My veterinarian friend recommended I put Povidone Iodine on his lost scale pads every night. This is working out well.
Most likely...
Buddy was limping worse and worse each day. So I scheduled a vet appt. It was today. I bought some pipe lifting straps, 2000# load each. Added duct tape to stabilize and a BIG Tuff Stuff tub. I took him in my Mini Cooper and covered him with a black cloth to keep him "still".
Good news! Legs...
I added 15 gallons of very warm water to make him happy and he drank non stop.. He is well hydrated! amazing to watch... he enjoyed blowing bubbles at both ends! hahaha (It's more like a sitz bath)
I have 4 video cameras for outside. Have all 4 working today, but need to finalize the placement of two of them. I will be able to view Buddy on my iphone and at work via internet. I will share my video site once I figure it out. Three of them will be for viewing Buddy.
Pardon me if I'm repeating posts. I'm trying to figure this out.
So far, I've been keeping his kennel and house around 75degF.
And my house at 67f. (someone has to sacrifice for the ominous electric electric bill coming soon.) lol
His absolutely loves having his entire shell rubbed, neck...
