Hello again everyone!
It has honestly been ages since I have posted on this forum.
Since around 2013 in fact when My Little Greek tortoise, Squirtle was still a very, very small tort.
If you can tell from my old avatar.
Turrning, 5 in October, I have always referred and believed for him to be...
Been quite a while since I've posted anything.
Busy bee at work & a few troubles at home.
But a quick photo of our Greek tort, Squirtle :D
Growing bigger & bigger by the day.
Seeing him every day does make it a but hard to notice difference in size, but I def notice him being quite larger than...
Hello everyone.
Been quite a while since I've posted.
Been a busy bee at work, training for a new job position.
I am the owner of a 5 month old Ibera Greek tortoise, Squirtle.
He is definitely showing signs of growth, but I may admit with my busy schedule I have slacked just a tiny bit with his...
Anyone else grow up watching her movies as a child?
Wishing you had this lovely child's bubbly & enthusiastic acting ability?
Dancing along with her in her movies as a child and wishing you could have those gorgeous curled blonde locks just as she had.

Hello again everyone.
Well it seems despite changes to his enclosure, I still find our Greek tortoise hatchling flipped over nearly every day.
Once last week & 3 times this week :@
Nearly every morning when I wake up, he's flipped.
Moved his half log out, added 2 pot hides, blocked corners...
Article I came across that will definitely have me keeping a closer eye on our clamp lamp fixture for Squirtle at home.
Thank goodness these firefighters got to Mervyn in time!

Let's see what your tortoises have got!
Feel free to add descriptions & tell us more about your beloved pets :D
Haven't had our little tort for a long...

With more photos of our little Ibera Greek hatchling Squirtle, as always :)
We've had him now for a little over a month, now. He's about 3 to 4 months of age.
Now either I'm crazy & seeing things, but I think I am finally starting to see some faint signs of growth on our little...
Not sure if this may have been posted previously, but either way.
Sad to hear.

Understand now that any white that is passed through a tort's number 2s & or urine, are urates.
But how often is too often?
Hadn't seen our hatchling Greek pass any urates until after 2 weeks after we got him.
But now seems that I find them in his urine everday & in his poopies every other...
Hello everyone.
I've read that within the Greek Tortoise species, there are a several subspecies.
Golden, Ibera, Antakeyensis, Anamurum, etc.
And then within those subspecies, there are different categories based within region of origin of a subspecies :s :s
My question concerns the Ibera...
Hello everyone :)
Just posting an update on my Ibera Greek Tortoise hatchling, Squirtle :D
Made just a few changes to his enclosure.
Mixed a fresh batch of Eco Earth, added to his enclosure & tidied up a bit.
Found our poor baby flipped on his back about 2 weeks ago so I've removed his...
Our 3 month old Iberra Greek Tortoise has started to exhibit some odd behavior, today.
He lives in a 30"×22", 66 liter under the bed storage bin.
He's been a timid little hatchling since we've had him (almost 3 weeks now) and he's exhibited the same behavior since he's arrived. Eat, eat...
Let's see the adorable ways in which your torts have decided to take a sudden nap or fall asleep! :P
This is how our Greek Hatchling "Squirtle" goes down at bedtime.
In his tortoise version of a blanket :D

And another :D Fell asleep with his arms in mid air
No biggie lol
Hello everyone.
Here again with another thread lol
We've had our 3 month old Ibera Greek tortoise for a little over 2 weeks now.
When he first received him, he pooped every day for the first 3 days. Since then I've only seen him poop every 2 or 3 days. He usually poops near his food dish so...
Awoke this morning to find our little 3 month old Ibera Greek Squirtle on a side of his enclosure he never visits, flipped onto his back :(
I am unaware how long he was flipped for, but I will be removing his half log before his bed time from now on.
He usually burrows under a plant at bed...
Since joining the forum, I've seen various different opinions when it comes to the right humidity levels for housing a Greek Tortoise.
I've seen people recommend as little as 40-50% and as high as 80%
So that raises the question, what is the right humidity level for your Greek Tortoise?
We...
Just uploaded my very first YouTube video of our little "Squirtle" devouring his food.
We've owned him for just a week now and he is not shy when it comes to hand feeding whatsoever lol He was a lot more vicious a few minutes earlier, but by now he was pretty full
Enjoy! :D:D...
