1) the substrate is a mexican brand with mexican name but it is basically organic soil specially made for pets with a mix of coconut fiber and tree bark.

I am really sorry for what happened to your tortoise, you have to keep her warm and clean, remember to use an antiseptic an you can use an ointment called neosporin, dont have anything like dirt as substrate use kitchen paper.
