My apologies if this has been covered previously. It's been a few years since I've posted.
I have a male and female Hermanns who were previously living in the same enclosure (yes, I know - never in pairs). They were in a relatively large area at first with several different hides previously and...
I have found (or suspect) the 'bubbles' or 'white squiggly circles' were part of the process in a growth spurt as this has been the case with my torts. I did get a bit panicky when I first saw it but after a bit of growth and usual soaks it disappears as soon as it seemed to develop.
I caught 1 of mine shimmying his way up a wall between a PVC pipe and the side of a shelf. When I found him he was about 6 inches up!
I'm sure everyone if familiar with this pose...
here's the final result. he looks a bit funny but I think he's finally realized he has to stop.
at first I thought there may be some moss on the bricks but it doesn't really seem like there is any there. maybe he just likes the taste of mortar. quick! somebody get that into the care sheets- an...
This is the set up we use when we need to travel with the torts. Its about the size of a small tool box. I put a pet training diaper followed by the fake grass in the bottom which is great for keeping everything clean and basically odorless. ( we take this on the train with us). the rest gets...
maybe you could just give them a call??
I personally would not rely on info I got on a forum for something like this... they could even prob. tell you what the crating requirements are.
I've heard of it. I lived in downtown Worcester (near Highland St.)for 3 or 4 years... I used to tell people I lived just outside of Providence. :D

Here's my 2 cents for what it's worth.
I think if you are going to put your hand within the reach of the mouth of anything, care and caution should be exercised. When I feed my torts by hand I try to keep in mind that he may accidentally bite my hand while trying to eat his treat, and I try to...
Yes!..well, 2 cords and a new case... somehow...
I forgot to mention that the babies are in their pee-and-poo where ever you want temporary holding area. We use this when we clean the enclosure and want to keep them out of trouble. They seem to hold it until they are back in the clean enclosure...
Somehow on a trip out to go grab a new charging cord for a cell phone we ended up "just stopping by" the local tort & reptile shop here in Taipei "Just to see how big our baby's brothers and sisters are getting".
Some how we ended up coming home with an adorable 3-4 month old Taiwan captive bred...
It might just be my experience but is this a weekend market or a perminant market? There are a few here in Taiwan that are only open on the weekends, otherwise the vendors have all the plants and animals at their shops.
