No need for a filter on Robin ever! I love how Robins colours come out in the sun. We decided to take real advantage of the lovely weather we had today and spent it in the garden.

Think I'll book a vet appointment then just to double check everything. Her set up I used as much information as I could get from on here so temps etc are all fine
Thanks a lot guys
Although she didn't have the best start. Before I got her she lived in a tiny polystyrene box with a desk lamp that was so close her shell was burned and she was living off iceberg lettuce could that have impacted her growth?
That's what I thought. She eats plenty and always has water her shell looks healthy no pyramiding or dryness I don't know if it's possible that she is just going to be a really small tort
Hi guys
Robin is 5 years old this year and it's looking more likely to be female. Any ideas on roughly what size she should be round about now? I know it's different for each tort but just an average would be great
So it has been a LOONG time since I've been on here. A lot of personal stuff going on starting university and the usual things that crop up. Robin was weighed today to 92g and is only measuring approx 8.5cm in length that's just the shell. S/he is turning 5 this year I'm just wondering is this...
So 2 days ago my partner told me Robin had managed to get some substrate in her eye. She ensured me she had got it out and gave Robin a soak. Today I notice she wasn't opening one eye but there was some calci powder round it. I've rinsed it off and gave her a nice long warm soak. Will this be ok?
Ok this is probably a stupid question my mother in law decided to give Robin my hermann some cooked fish confusing her for a turtle. She loved it! Is it harmful? I know that in the wild she wouldn't get fish so any pointers?
Saw on another page that hermanns with this nail like bit on the tip of the tail are male but I was sure it was just a part of all hermanns. Someone clear this up for me please?
Not sure I know my neighbour has 2 torts who are approx 10 and I asked her and she's never hibernated hers. Think just because the temps are so irregular here and drop really quickly.
Cool I didn't hibernate and I don't think I will seems too dangerous and I've wanted a tort since I was a kid so I don't want to go killing him/her thanks for all the advice though :)
Not updated in a while truth is nothing's really been happening. Still no further for a sex for Robin still too small however Robins growth line is coming on GREAT! S/he is now at 70g. Decided not to hibernate this year maybe next time anyway here's a few photos to keep anyone who wants a nosey...
