    They don't get to to hot so they don't explode as easy as heat bulbs but I still wouldn't get it wet. When I mist the spray might hit it a tiny bit, just be careful!

    I'd suggest even getting a regular cfl bulb to grow they are dirt cheap just look at package an make sure it's 6500k colour spectrum. Or you can get cheap t8 flurocent lighting for cheap from hardware store which is great for growing. But window should work as long as it's south facing an...

    Thanks for the tip! My torts are actually really good for not eating the plants in enclosure they trample or take the very odd nibble which I'm not to worried about
