You have got a very big tortoise, it will eat a lot once it has grown. But apart from the enclosure and food once you have all the main expenses paid it won't be that expensive.

Your tort looks fine to me, but I'm no expert. In any case if he has pyramiding he is still very young and his shell will flatten son with a bit more humidity. Luck:)

I don't know what he might be but I think he is definitely not a star tortoise, but I am no expert.

When i bought my tort he also pooped and peed all over the place in his water, now he is much cleaner and a few days ago he also started to pooo and lee like mad but then he goese back to normal its nothing to worry about :)

Sorry to hear this! And i hope Tank gets better. I think you are looking after him great and you should keep him on paper towels. The chips will never grow back.
